It’s possible that it’s just me, but I’m really looking forward to falling this year for some reason. I can’t wait till the weather gets cooler, so I can wear nice sweaters and check out the fall fashion trends. Yet, the new nail trends are always my favorite aspect of the transition from one season to the next. The season of fall often heralds a transition to hues that are darker and more subdued. (Think of rich chocolate browns and other jewel tones!)
Some of the nail styles for this autumn are among the nicest I’ve seen in recent years. In addition to a large number of whimsical patterns, there is an abundance of vibrant, dark hues. Shades of mocha
Rachel Joseph, an artist at Nailing Hollywood, adds that browns and neutrals look especially beautiful throughout the fall. Experimenting with a French manicure or gradient nails is a great way to put a unique touch on the traditional warm tone.
Mauve nails

Tortoiseshell nails

Toes painted a candy red
I said it a few months ago: this shade of polish is going to be huge this winter. The “red nail theory” is responsible for the virality of bright red nails on TikTok (which I personally tested on my last date, and it works). I painted my nails entirely with Mischo Beauty’s Good Kisser, but next time I think I’ll combine two fashions by giving my French tips a red varnish.
Glazed-donut nails
Everyone aspires to have nails like Hailey Bieber’s glazed-donut manicure; that much is certain. Green predicts that 2023 will see a significant return of shimmer colors thanks to the glazed-donut nail trend. And what’s the hippest method to rock glitter right now on your fingernails? When you use magnetic nail polish, the shimmer particles get “activated,” creating a plush, velvety effect. Add a glossy top coat and some rhinestones for a dazzling final touch.
Nails painted a vibrant magenta
Pantone scored big points with me with their choice of Viva Magenta, a lively, medium, blue-ish pink, as the 2023 Color of the Year. It’s reminiscent of the hot pink seen in the set photos for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie but has a futuristic vibe. Use a shimmering magenta polish and experiment with motifs like flowers and squiggly lines (two additional trends we’ll definitely see this year) to amp up the cool factor.
