I Spent One Week Trying Out Several Expensive Nail Polishes And Here Are My Opinions On Each One

Luxury handbags, shoes, and outerwear are my life. However, nail paint is one place where I don’t typically splurge. In the past, I’ve always had my hair colored at the salon, but recently I’ve started doing it myself. There are a plethora of high-end nail paint products on the market, and many of them claim to be better for your nails. Some of these, I reasoned, must be worthwhile.

For a full week, I tried out not one but two high-end nail paints on each finger. I tried out both the opulent Butter London recipe and the bestselling Chanel nail lacquer. If you’re interested in how they held up after a week of wear, read on for the verdict and a list of some of our favorite luxury nail polish companies. Gucci

The Gucci plant-based varnish is a regal addition to the world of nail paint, promising lustrous brilliance and serious elegance. In addition to the red algae extract and tocopherol, an antioxidant-rich type of vitamin E, this nail polish also has stearalkonium bentonite, which aids in the even distribution of color. Not to mention, you may choose from a wide range of colors, from bright turquoise to rich candy apple red.

Smith & Cult

Toxic chemicals, including dibutyl phthalate, toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, and triphenyl phosphate, are all absent from Smith & Cult’s recipe. It is also resistant to chips, comes in vivid hues, and produces an excellent sheen.

J. Hannah

Jess Hannah, a renowned jeweler, just released a line of high-end nail paint. Hannah’s eight-free solution is not only harmless but also available in a wide variety of strikingly original tones influenced by artists’ palettes and the natural world. The end effect colors like a rich caramel brown and a warm terra cotta.

Emilie heath

Nail paints by Emilie Heathe are a nutritious powerhouse thanks to the use of the bamboo extract, sea buckthorn oil, and rice bran oil. The organic silica included in the bamboo extract is crucial to the development of strong, healthy nails, so using it is a great way to prevent damage. Heathe’s nail polish also has Japanese-made magnetic caps and bespoke glass bottles. The brand and its ingredients pay respect to Asian traditions. Traditional Chinese medicine has relied on these potent herbs from the continent for centuries.

Dior

Dior’s high-end nail paint has a gel look and is infused with extracts of peony and pistachio to promote healthy nails. Each color brazenly takes cues from the current fashions and designs from the House of Dior.

Deborah Lippmann

Deborah Lippmann’s treatment-enhanced, award-winning nail paint has the lustrous brilliance and luxurious feel of a gel manicure without harm. With beneficial components, including rice protein, green tea extract, and evening primrose oil, this high-end choice is also good for your nails’ health.

Hermès

Hermè’s high-end nail polish recipe boasts a rainbow of colors, can be worn for weeks, and shines like a million dollars. The recipe, which is created in France, features an abundance of vivid, bright hues and silky smooth, dark tones because of its high concentration of ultra-fine pigments.

Christian Louboutin

$50 is a lot to pay for nail paint; I’ll give you that. This luxurious Christian Louboutin polish, however, may be the answer if you’re in the mood to splurge. Like a quality patent leather shoe or bag, it is highly pigmented, impervious to chips, and incredibly lustrous.

Butter, London

Brands of high-end nail polish. For a week, I wore Piece of Cake, a new hue from Butter London, on my left hand. I’ll be honest and say that after the initial application, I wasn’t as attentive as I should have been because I’m used to quick-dry salon polishes. A couple of nails became somewhat smeared, but it wasn’t the polish’s fault; it was simply an accident. After a week, the polish still looks great and shows no signs of chipping. The polish takes too long to dry, which is basically my only complaint about it. For at least 10–15 minutes after application, extreme caution is required. Nail paints that dry in under 30 seconds are my favorite since they eliminate the risk of smearing and the inconvenience of waiting. In sum, the polish and color are lovely, but I’m not sure it’s the best choice for me.

Chanel

Brands of high-end nail polish. One of Chanel’s most popular colors, Organdi, is seen on my right hand with the brand’s Longwear Nail Colour. Despite the fact that I, too, experienced this issue with this polish, I must admit that it is an attractive shade of muted pink. My impatience caused me to slightly smear a few of my nails. This stunning hue has been applying smoothly and lasting as long as Butter London’s. My preference, if forced to choose, would go to Chanel’s formulation. It has a luxurious feel and comes in a wide variety of beautiful tones from the brand. The time required for drying is the only drawback. This polish takes nearly three times as long to dry as your typical gel manicure, hard gel, or dip powder. I would save this polish for special occasions and stock up on some of the brand’s other colors for when I want something a little different.
