Since I’ve been in this role at TZR, I’ve seen that the majority of our Instagram followers are suckers for a well-done manicure. I always get a lot of fantastic engagement from a nail post, no matter what time of year it is. In the summer, the colors are light a ke it a point to keep up with the latest developments in the world of manicures. In the year 2022, glazed donut nails were the most popular trend. I already have a few potential candidates for the year 2023.
Identifying emerging trends is one of my favorite aspects of my job. Because I’m constantly online and follow a lot of people who are considered to be tastemakers and experts in their fields, I often spot trends in their earliest phases. Then, not only am I able to experiment with the trends on my own to see if they mesh well with my preferences, but I am also able to share my findings with the social audiences of TZR. The trend of having nails with a velvet finish is now my favorite for nails. The way the light catches the design in these manicures is hypnotic, and seeing the videos of them being done is incredibly fulfilling from the perspective of social media.

Chrome with vivid hues
In keeping with the trend of glittering nail art, another glittery aesthetic that I’m really into right now is the rainbow chrome appearance. In 2022, silver chrome manicures were all the rage, but in 2023, I anticipate that this colorful take on the trend will have a major moment on social media.
